Proverbs, idioms, scripts etc. have contributed a lot in the unity of Indian languages. This similarity can be seen in almost all languages. Similarity is also visible from the grammatical point of view in the linguistic family. Perhaps because of this similarity, people of all India know, understand and speak each other's language very easily or with little effort. This similarity can also be seen in the languages of North India and North-West India with a slight variation, but why not, one gets to hear a proverb all over India – “Kosh-Kosh par pani badale. Teen Kosh par vani” means that it can be said that similarity can be seen in some form or the other in all Indian languages. There has been a very close relationship between Hindi and Punjabi languages. However, both the languages have developed from different sources both historically and linguistically. At present threads of similarity can be found in both these languages.
