Abstract

The Kannada literature exhibits a profound impact of the freedom struggle. This research article delves into the discussion of Kannada literature and writers between 1920 to 1950. It highlights the literary expressions by writers during the freedom struggle, through which they conveyed their ideas. These writers influenced the Indian freedom movement through their literary consciousness. The objective of this study is to proclaim that during the era of the freedom struggle, Kannada literature emerged not only for political rebellion but also as a significant medium for language, literature, and literary freedom. This study will provide a comprehensive introduction that sheds light on the literary landscape of this era. The ongoing national movement influenced Kannada writers, and the main objective of the article is to explore how and to what extent it influenced them and present this fact.
