Impact of COVID-19 on pregnant women
A case study from Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh

This paper has focused on the impact of the COVID-19 on pregnant women. During COVID-19, various problems have been emerged. The study focuses on the impact of COVID-19 on pregnant women during COVID-19. In COVID-19 women has faced various issues which has directly impacted their social, psychological and economic health. The article is based on the primary data and it was a qualitative research. The researcher had collected data through case study method from pregnant women who had delivered their child during first and second wave of the COVID-19 which was from March 2020 to May 2021. These pregnant women belong to Kangra District, Himachal Pradesh. The research was purely Qualitative research. The sampling technique used for collecting the information was Purposive Sampling. The paper tried to explain the problems faced by the pregnant women and the impact of COVID-19 on them. There were various issues that were covered in the case study whether it was mental stress, economy loss, child loss, story of a positive pregnant women, and behavior of the hospital staff during COVID-19 with these pregnant women etc.
