Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement
Unraveling the Gender and School Type Dynamics in Secondary School Students

This research paper examines the relationship between scientific attitude and achievement in science among secondary school students, with a focus on the influence of gender and type of school. The study utilized a descriptive survey method and collected data from a sample of secondary school students. Scientific attitude and academic achievement in science were measured using Attitude towards Science scale by Savita Mishra (2017) and academic performance records, respectively. The study shows positive scientific attitude significantly impacts academic achievement in science, with a similar relationship observed for male and female students. School type does not significantly moderate this relationship, suggesting that fostering a positive attitude is crucial for academic success.The findings guide educators and policymakers in designing interventions to promote scientific attitude and academic achievement in secondary school.
