Blended Learning: Expanding Classroom Boundaries for Inclusive Education - A Comprehensive Review

The past few decades have witnessed the miracles of the advancing technology. Day-by-day inventions and discoveries for developing classroom strategies are the sole proof that "Education' area has not been left out either. In the present time, where educationist throughout the country are focusing upon innovative techniques that could be implemented in the teaching- learning environment to make the leaning as well as the environment equitable for diverse students, Blended Learning (integration of face-to-face teacher-led classroom and educational technology) throws a light on making learning accessible and relevant to different individuals irrespective of their disabilities, culture, socio-economic background, language, and many other factors that affect the learning. And this is how Blended Learning takes a significant step towards Universalization of Education. This paper discusses about the Blended Learning as a tool, leaving a strong impression in context with Inclusion of all types of learners under one classroom setting. The practical advantages, in regards with addressing to the needs of diverse learners, along with the plausible drawbacks of Blended Learning, have been mentioned in this paper. Along with highlights of technology integration in the classroom, a brief idea about the shift in the roles of a teacher from a Traditional classroom to a Blended classroom setting has also been mentioned at the end.
